Through the years, I've had friends who had been involved in situations in real estate that were not so great...and that disturbed me greatly. I bought my own first home when I was 20. At that age, I didn't know what "escrow" was or what "earnest money" was or any other real estate term for that matter. But, I had my Dad there to explain all those things to me...and it was a scary but thrilling experience!
